Lakendra Dugas teamed up with Central Texas hair stylists to teach 100 teenagers how to braid their hair for free. This "Next Generation Summer Braid Camp" was held on July 26, 2021, where Lakendra and other braiders projected a better future by sharing their passion with the children. Due to the large turnout, the attendees and camp instructors enjoyed the success of the event. EZBRAID made sure to provide each attendee with enough product to practice their own braiding. After the camp closed, EZBRAID donated more hair products so that the teenagers who participated could continue on practicing their braiding. The teenagers were delighted not only with the camp itself but also with all the EZBRAID products they received. To celebrate the upcoming National Braider's Day (August 8th), Lakendra and her colleagues showed their support by wearing their #iamabraider t-shirts which were provided by EZBRAID after the camp.
